Pets Walking into Combat

This post is more than a year old.
World of Warcraft is an ever-changing game. While reading this post, keep the date it was written in mind—changes may have occurred since then!

I’ve been playing my hunter as my main for a little while now. But since 2.x (I can’t remember exactly which), my pet’s been acting strange. Specifically, there are two problems. First of all, when running around town (or anywhere else for that matter), the pet will start to lag behind, eventually to the point where it auto-dismisses. Second, when told to attack, he begins to run boldly into combat, then suddenly slows to a walk, then to a crawl, then finally attacks the mob. This seems to take forever–it may not be forever, but it is way too long. Hoping this gets fixed in 2.4!
