I don’t know about you, but I love my mods. I currently have about 170 extra folders in my Interface\Addons directory, not including the default Blizzard UI addons. Granted, some of them are multiple parts of the same addon (such as Cartographer or BigWigs), and some are disabled, but still–that is too frickin’ much. It also makes it hard to manage, especially come patch time.
I’ve been using the Curse Client to keep my addons up to date, but I have some issues with Curse right now and I plan on (eventually) making the switch to the WowAceUpdater, because I personally like using Ace mods, and most of the mods I use are on the Ace site anyway.
But boy do I hate patch time. The first thing I do once I install is log in, enable out of date addons, and cross my fingers. Thankfully, one of my favorite addons, and one I’m sure thousands of people use, Omen, isn’t being forgotten. WoW Insider has the scoop, check it out.

A lot of people seem to be thinking that Patch 2.4 will come coming out soon, as demonstrated by the “Guess 2.4 Release Date” contest over at WOW Insider. I’m not as optimistic as most people, for reasons such as this one:
After opening the Sunwell Raid instance again last night we discovered a pretty obnoxious bug with the Lady Sacrolash and Grand Warlock Alythess encounter that is making the encounter much more difficult than intended. Until we get that bug resolved, we’ve brought down the Sunwell Raid instance on the PTR. We have no ETA on the fix at this time.
It’s pretty obvious that there are still some issues to work out. Sure, they could crank that baby out the door in a week, but I’m guessing at least two more from today.

Blizzard has opened a new test realm for arena tournament testing. Basically, you log into the new realm, create a level 70 character, get all the gear, pets, gems, and gold you could need, and fight people in the arenas. That’s it–the PvE content on this realm has actually been disabled. Sounds like it could be fun, maybe I’ll download the patch and give it a whirl.
The World of Warcraft site has more information on the tournament servers.

There are a lot of great World of Warcraft blogs out there. Today, we’re going to be taking a look at a few of them that focus on the hunter class.
BigRedKity (http://www.bigredkitty.net/)
My favorite WoW blog ever, maybe next to WoW Insider. This guy is a great hunter, and always has either great advice, excellent stories, or deep questions. He has several movies dealing with some of the more basic hunter skills that need to be perfected, such as kiting and jump-shooting.
Beroth the Hunter (http://beroth.blogspot.com/)
Another great hunter blog. Beroth is into the end-game raiding, something I’ve not yet had a chance to experience. His stories are always insightful, and usually quite humorous.
Gun Lovin’ Dwarf Chick (http://gunlovingdwarfchick.com/)
So aparrently girls play WoW too? News to me! (Haha, not really). Anyway, I enjoy reading this blog to see WoW from a female perspective.
The blogs below are ones that I peruse from time to time, and seem to be quite good, but I don’t read often enough to write a short blurb about them. This is not because they are bad blogs, but because time is always taking me away from blogging and reading blogs.
Call Pet – http://callpet.blogspot.com/
NE Hunter L4Mobs, PST - http://nightravyn.com/blog/
Aspect of the Pack – http://aspectofthepack.blogspot.com/
Do you know of any more excellent hunter blogs out there? If so, please let me know!
